Victoria Lines

This is a small part of the Matese Victoria Lines which are fortified defensive walls, built by the British in 1897 and finished in the year of Queen Victoria's Jubilee.

The Victoria Lines run along a natural geographical barrier known as the Great Fault that cut across the width of the island.
You can walk the entire length which takes around 6-8hrs

Below this section of the wall are tombs which have been carved into the cliffs on either side with a small chapel which stands on the top
