Looking up..

... at the blue, blue sky for Wide Angle Wednesday. Spring has definitely hit Waldviertel. I nearly trod on a peacock butterfly as I went out the front door this morning. It was fluttering on the door mat and I just managed to avoid planting my foot on it. Of course my first thought was "Camera!" in a Pavlov's dog type conditioned response that Blip has bestowed upon me. But it was long gone before I recovered from the surprise and my one-legged stance.
This is looking up the Herz-Jesu Kirche (Heart of Jesus Church) in Gmünd (new town) not far from where we used to live. It is a relatively new church, originally built as an emergency wooden church for refugees from Poland and the Ukraine during WW1.
