The only way I can get him to slow down is get him to read a book. However, once he gets engrossed in the book nothing else matters.  In the last 4 days he has read 2 books.  I have now introduced him to my Kindle, he is reading book 1 of a series of 5 by Jeffrey Archer.  He knows how to switch off the Kindle and to restart it, which is progress.
