Haar and hills
Today was the relay day at the JK. It was a compact area with great planning and an excellent spectacle for the waiting runners. The only bad thing was the parking field, which was muddy and quite soft. Luckily there was enough wind to let us all out, despite the 'help' of the parking 'assistants. There was haar to start with, but the sky cleared during the morning and it turned warm. We decided to bag a Marilyn in the late afternoon, so went west and walked up Lowick High Common. There was a lot of haar over the sea, and this came well inland, so although we were above the cloud all the time there was a lot to the west and north. This is a panorama of the hills from the Wasdale Fells in the west to the Coniston Fells in the east.
Backblip of chicken licken.
