The symposium ended and I hurried to the National Gallery of Arts to see especially the four Vermeers in their collection (saw only three, for some reason the Lady with the red hat was not exhibited). Marvellous paintings, also fabulous impressionists.

On the way back to the hotel saw this scene and had to blip it.
