My alternative diary

Walsingham Abbey

We had another super breakfast to start the day. We decided to take the coast road for our return home so we could do a little exploration on the way. We stopped briefly at the roadside in Salthouse for a little bird photography and then on to Stiffkey to check out a campsite that we might use with our Motorhome. It’s by the Saltmarsh managed by the National Trust so we spent some time the chatting to other visitors who were in the car park and learning a little more about the birdlife on the marsh. Thought about Holkham House and Beach – house closed and the car park for the beach rammed so we decided to head for Walsingham. We spent a couple of hours in the Abbey grounds and decided a longer return visit was needed – it was lovely. Then it was a gentle and uneventful journey home stopping off in East Rudham to get made to order sandwiches from Foyers Tea Rooms (lush…).

I’ve back-blipped for Monday and Tuesday as we had NO internet connection whilst away.
