Lunch with a friend

I met up with a friend for lunch in Littlehampton today - the building in the distance is where we had a late lunch (as she was working this morning). We had a nice walk down to the seafront along the new raised sea defence and walkway that they've built alongside the River Arun. Not too good for the cafes along the riverside road as they no longer have a view of the river, but at least they won't be flooded, I guess...

The sun was hot, but there was a very cool sharp sea breeze and I needed to wear a coat. Some people were walking around in t shirts, but they were hardier than me! The sea was way out - a very low tide indeed.
