Market Queen
This gilded statue of Queen Ann stands out even on a dull day so in today's sunshine it was really dazzling. The statue dates from 1706 and stands on the roof of the Market House in Kingston which was built in 1840, the statue having originally stood on it's predecessor. She'll have looked out over a great many changes in that time although many of the buildings around the market square are of an even greater age.
