Look - cake!

Been so busy doing things today we seem to have only taken one photo!

Painting, baking, telly, sandcastles at the park, lunch, nap, parcels, new craft things, cutting and gluing, playing in the garden, running round with daddy before tea, then books and bed.

Some moments of note:
- he has noticed the wall stickers in his room and had peeled half of them off this morning
- sugar everywhere and cracks in more eggs than necessary while helping to bake
- going upstairs on his own when we got in from the park and turning on the sink tap until mummy wondered what was going on and came to find the sink overflowing

I accidentally dropped off too and he had a longer and later nap than usual so we put bedtime back half an hour. He's taking ages to get to sleep (or back to sleep) at times at the moment and Mike has concluded that sitting quietly with him the whole time is getting silly. Time to start leaving him to finish settling himself without us now - so after 45 minutes and with plenty of warning that's what we did tonight - though he did cry for a while. Hate that - but it did work.
