Yellow and Red

I thought I would work a little with the Nikon 70-300 mm lens today in preparation for the weekend in Savannah. It does not have AF, but with the focus highlighting in the Sony, I think it will be OK.  I find the bird shots aren’t quite as good with the 18-200 mm lens (which I will take with me also) unless I can get pretty close.  

This is a shot of the Nyger feeder with the usual Goldfinch on it, but I have not seen this red bird before and I haven’t been able to identify it through my usual methods.  I am hoping that one of the bird mavens will help me out.  

Addendum:  KimB came through for me and the red bird is a house finch.
