After seeing Paris-Roubaix

on the telly I took my bike and drove to the 'Stropersbos', a nature reserve in Stekene. Crossed the Schelde with the ferry and drove around 35 km for my april micro adventure. Didn't find the official campground I read about (between the horses), it wasn't on the maps around the domain.

Turned out that these woods and wetlands were once (18th century ) a military frontier, on the picture on the left a reconstruction of these barriers.
