Last bits of winter

Checking out the field site today - Spring has not really arrived yet up here. Still some snow left on the ground, some ice on the lakes. No insects awake, just spiders and ticks and lots of deer! For me personally, this is a happy sight, because this gives me ~ 3 weeks more before my yearly move to go ant hunting.
