Desolation

The weather has improved tremendously and promised wall to wall sun so we took our selves off to one of our favourite walks near Rascally Bay and we headed off expecting to see a forest half way along the walk but this is what met us.a complete forest reduced to stumps in a matter of 7 months as this Image from October last year shows            .
I suppose that as a business it is understandable that the wood has a value in monetary terms but it also has a value in just being there as part of the local environment and I doubt we will be around to see the replacement forest in thirty or so years.
We carried on and finished the walk then had another wander over to ‘our’ beach just to make the most of the good weather.
