American Goldfinch

Winter has made a comeback after we have been spoiled by several beautiful Spring weeks.  We woke to a few inches of heavy wet snow on our new deck this morning.  Then it changed to rain throughout the day and will change back to snow overnight and continue that way for a few more days.  I would have loved to have been able to get the deck stained before it got wet but they just finished it yesterday.  Oh well, I'm sure it will be fine.  As always when it snows, the bird feeders were very busy. This is the first Goldfinch I have seen in full summer color, ironic that it would be on a snowy day. ;-)
