Castles

A beautiful day dawned in Edinburgh today. A clear blue skies and expected top of 17 had even the locals scratching their heads. We joined the throngs for an early morning trek up the Royal Mile to Edinburgh Castle and spent an easy 3 hours exploring, faithfully following the audio guide.

Afterwards, we stopped for lunch and beer to recover from the information overload we had just received. For the afternoon we decided to wander to the royal yacht Britannia, not quite realising at the time exactly how far it is from the castle. At least our exercise stats looked good!!
