Clouded Drab

Well our catch last night was disappointing :( only one moth in the trap. It was a Clouded Drab which is new to us this year . We caught several about 2 weeks ago and they are all slightly different in shade and colour but have these spots and markings on their wings.
We photograph them then set them free and ID them from the photos. The records are then sent to our local Moth Co-ordinator who adds them to a Scottish/ National database. It's all very interesting. I think we are what's called ' urban scientists' :)
