Songkran!

Today is Thai New Year or Songkran which is traditionally celebrated by having a massive water fight!  So, of course we joined in, having armed ourselves with supersoakers!  Luckily Fred is feeling a bit better this morning as we also have to change hotels before the fun begins.  We get absolutely soaked on the tuk tuk ride between hotels.  The locals are brutal and pour whole buckets of water over you, often ice cold ... never mind these silly little water pistols!

Its a great morning spent soaking others and getting soaked and we have a great laugh.  We have lunch, do some more soaking and then the heavens open and we have a huge thunder storm.  Funnily enough, the streets empty, despite everyone wet anyway and we also start to get cold so call it a day and go back to our hotels for a hot shower.

It all seems much calmer in the evening so the others come to meet us in Kata Beach for food.
