Senior picture with Frau Shafer from German Day at Penn State. At German Day there are different competitions like spelling, poetry, and trivia. There are also sample classes and tours you can go to. I was in spelling but I got out pretty quick because I couldn't understand the lady's accent. After that I had a campus tour and it was fun to walk around campus and see the buildings and learn about the things students do there. Overall there were twenty different schools their. When all the competitions were over they put together a presentation and announced all the rewards. We got quit a few. When the time came to announce the overall winners everyone was nervous. We weren't sure if we were going to place or not, but we did we placed third overall which isnt bad out of twenty different schools. Frau Shafer was very proud of all of us and was excited to place since it was her first year. I wish all of them good luck for previous years and hope they keep up the good work.
