A city of contrasts

The gold-leaf covered Invalides, behind the "SDF" which means in French "Sans Domicile Fixe" - but this IS his permanent address, on the corner of Avenue de Breteuil and the Place El Salvador.  I've seen him several times, always sitting in the sun, reading a thick book.
