A lawn with style

The Avenue at Gibside had been given a holiday for a few weeks, allowing the grass to recover from welcoming so many feet over the years. With a few friends I enjoyed a wonderful walk, through the West Wood and up onto the Skyline Walk, a very suitable name. At the top we could see the west of Newcastle and then way beyond the Cheviot Hills in Northumberland, probably 40 miles away.
