A Silky Sea

On looking out from the porch at 08.05 hrs the sea was shimmering.  We were surprised to be underneath a heavy shower at 11.00hrs.  Surprised, because the day so far has seen no wind but plenty of warm sunshine.  Baz went into the vet for his MOT.  Meantime I was left at home and finished riddling the one compost bin.  This means that last year’s compost is now transferred from Bin 2 to Bin 1.  Then the contents of the two small black compost bins (not that we have a monopoly of compost in the northern isles) are also put into Bin No 1.  Meantime CMC has dug over the tattie patch and also planted some beetroot in the tunnel.

I have just collected CMC Snr from Stromness and the fish van has just been and delivered our tea.
