Wine...

A while ago I had the opportunity to work in a school for children and young people on the autistic spectrum. It was an interesting experience. I didn't know much about autism before that. I learned that we are all on the autistic spectrum. We all have our little rituals and ways that we like to do things in certain ways and get irritated if we can't do them that way. We all have interests and hobbies. People on the extreme end of the autistic spectrum really can't cope with their rituals being changed and their interests in certain things can become so extreme and all consuming that they can't function in the outside world.

I wasn't there long before I realised that I have autistic tendencies. We all do. Men more than women. Often it can raise a person to greatness. Da Vinci was autistic they think and Motzart showed the tendency as well.

I'm not in their league of course. But one of the things that irritates the life out of me is open spaces in the wine rack. It's a full time job keeping it filled. ASDA were having an offer; six bottles for £25. And they were good wines. So I got two bottles of my favourite Pinot Grigio from Italy, two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and two bottles of Rioja from Spain. Happy days....
