Gone .............

Last weekend , this poppy was still in bud. It flowered earlier in the week and was beautiful. I was sorry to see every petal on the grass this evening. Never mind, there are so many more buds just waiting their turn .
The stomach bug that has plagued me for the last few days has packed it's bags too. I have celebrated by eating a generous slice of Lemon Meringue pie , with a "moderate" helping of vanilla ice cream. :-))))
