Back Home...

... after a great week cycling around Mallorca. It's a beautiful island. Lovely mountains and coast line in the north and great villages and towns in the agricultural plains. A true mecca for cyclists. There were thousands, and april is getting past the peak. all in the very best of lycra and with some serious machines. Mostly hired. We were a little unusual. We took our own bikes, and carried our gear from place to place, having pre-booked a series of self catering apartments. If you would like to see a few pictures (!), I have now back- posted them for the past week.

This shows Liverpool town hall with its new bike rack. In the old days, I suppose, councillors would probably have arrived on a horse and there would have been a place to tie it up.

No time to delay, I'm afraid. Or more to the point, no time to catch up with other blip journals at present. Off to a funeral in Scotland tomorrow and then another adventure with my bike next week.
