I think the approved parental response is: "Get the dog's ball off your head and stop being so daft" ... rather than encouraging him to do it in the first place.

I thought it gave him the look of an old-fashioned Doctor Who monster. 

Stella, of course, just thought it looked like a new improved game of fetch.

Ten years, you say? Delighted and all that, but it's only because archive blips are now included in your overall total.  My proper anniversary isn't until July. 

And just to make things even more confusing, that would be my 9th anniversary.
