Tulips

Looking out of the kitchen window this morning I noticed the early sun shining under our forsythia bush and catching our (only) bunch of tulips.

I grabbed a black foam sheet and wedged it behind the blooms to provide a contrast for them. Camera on tripod to get a small aperture, using my macro lens to get a frame filling shot.

Garage door got fixed today - within about 3 hours of calling a repair firm. £45 all in. Result! No way would I have been able to do it myself. Had to laugh though - they stuck a contact number sticker on the inside of the door "so that I could call them if I ever got stuck in the garage with the door closed"...not quite sure how or why that would happen - but its the thought that counts!
