Lion
Went to the beach in Portobello today. Kids were busy digging the beach, we were sheltering in a beach tent. The tide was in unfortunately, so no exciting finds on the beach.
The lion is a detail of one of the three Coade stone pillars which were rescued from the garden of the Argyle House in Portobello. Coade stone is an artificial stone used in the late 18th and early 19th century for architectural details.
