Just playing around with the star filter again. The thing about this filter is that it's equally as cool as it is useless. The effect it has on light sources can be really interesting (here is my blip from 10th April 2014 showing its normal effect) but I can't honestly see any reason to use it in a normal photograph.

Unless I wanted to somehow pay homage to one of my childhood TV stars - Magic Pencil.

Those were the days.

P.S. I also find it confusingly cool how the shape of the etches in the filter ends up creating star shapes.
