Lady’s Smock - Cuckoo Flower
Cardamine pratensis
Very thick sea mist first thing – would it clear? Did some paper work; the mist slowly cleared the sun shone though a chill breeze blew. Time to do some gardening. Lunch. A walk after all that gardening would do us good.
We sauntered up the cycle path. A snow of blackthorn blossom. Birds sang, Lambs gambled in the meadow, The first Lady’s Smock or Cuckoo Flowers were out, these a particularly deep pink. An Orange Tip butterfly flew by.
