For ANZAC Day.
I know its a bit early, but do not wish to forget. The Wargraves at St.Lawrence`s Chuch , Stratford -sub-Castle, Wiltshire. There are 47 of them from WW1, of which 36 are Australian and New Zealand servicemen. In the photo is the one of Hector Nicol, Australian Flying Corp. He was born in New Zealand, moved to 375 Dank St, Middle Park,Victoria, with his parents John and Sarah. He married Rose before he joined up.
Killed on 16th Oct 1918 in a flying accident near Salisbury. His parents/wife chose the inscription at the bottom of the grave stone. Most of the servicemen buried here died of Menningitis. The military plot and Cross of sacrifice was laid out properly in August 1920. Out in the countryside, well looked after by CWC, just peace and quiet.
