Mona

After waking up, we headed to the pier to catch the catamaran to MONA.  We had a posh pit pass so got on the funky looking catamaran and were served champagne, beer and fancy nibbles.  The art gallery is simply stunning.  Dug in to the rock face of a small island and made into a very architecturally amazing building.  The art was interesting if a little complicated to quite understand what was going on.  however it was very well done with some very interesting ideas, I particularly like the head with crazy things going on in it, the Madonna room and a binary room.  After the museum we had a drink made by MONA's own brewery and looked at its vinyards.  We then caught the cat back which again included some lovely nibbles and alcohol.   On returning we drove up in to the hinterland surrounding Hobart in search of Mountain view.  We couldn't quite find the mountain but had a lovely drive nonetheless.  After dropping off the car we went to find a restaurant and found a place we had told about.  Gnocchi, sweet potato and pancetta were simply a fantastic mixture of flavours and ended what was a great day.
