the pickup

Off out this evening for a few drinks and food with work, enjoying the unseasonably warm evening sunshine. Having a drink after work in the sunshine and outside is a great way to unwind.

I managed to miss my train back by a few minutes so rather than waiting an hour for the next one I hopped onto the tube and walked from Southgate. The carriage was full of the usual selection of sleeping drunks, happy couples on the way home from an evening out, late commuters and, in this case, two people that had clearly just picked each other up.
