Milky Way over Irishman Creek

I've been down in Tekapo today, photographing a University Alumni event at the Mount John Observatory.

After taking shots on the tour, and also of the stars from the summit, I decided to head out further afield to grab this shot of the stars over the roadside shelter at Irishman Creek.

It's already a late night, and I'm hoping to start early in the morning for sunrise over the lake. Better get some shut eye!!
