Golden fly

Another lunchtime walking round the Harris Gardens. My blipping was interrupted by a phone call and I was trying to wedge my phone under my chin while stalking this golden fly. I wonder if it is a sawfly -  Abia lonicerae. Someone posted something similar on a Facebook group earlier this week. It positively glowed in the bright sunshine. 


Book group this evening and a great discussion of The Night Circus. Our hostess had printed out some tickets and provided circus-themed snacks. I think the book was a hit.
