Lake Windermere

It was all about Lake Windermere today. We drove to Bowness and had some tea in a cafe. We bought some duck food and fed the ducks and swans at the lakeside. Then we went for a cruise around the lake. We had lunch in a tea room in town ( where Orla had the biggest sausage she had ever seen!) then we drove to Fell Foot. A playground, lovely lakeside setting and another cafe where both children had ice cream.

In the evening Gran and Papa babysat and we walked across the fields to the Mason Arms. We had a drink outside in the mellow evening sunshine and then had an amazing meal inside the pub.
