I'll try anything - ONCE.

Once was enough.
I THINK it may well be a 1st for me - try something and not finish it all, however little I liked it.
But I drew the line at chewing on soft, mushy, tasteless "stuff".

For "tastiest" read "tasteless". Besides, it reads more like English coming after "most".
I'm quite partial to Beet & parsnips in crisp form, hence the try out.
