A Manchester "First and Only "

Sadly this amazing piece of engineering is much in need of a coat of paint. It's the moveable aqueduct  which transports the Bridgewater Canal over the Manchester Ship Canal.Two years ago we sailed across in a narrow boat Today a rather strenuous bike ride took us along mile after mile of towpath.This was but one wonderful viewing .Ah the discipline of blip.I was stuck between the above , a canal boat sailing along reminding people to vote and an abandoned table with one red one blue chair.(symbolic) These along the canal bank nowhere near housing .However,water lover that I am, the aqueduct won the day . Manchester has produced a lot .This is but one example .
