Cannon BOOM

Among the many, many photos I took today as part of our Blip Meet gathering, I decided to share one from Ft. Pulaski, an American Civil War fort that fell from Confederate hands into the Union army.  Today was a reenactment of the shooting of two different cannons, this being the smaller one.  The person in charge said all the men were wearing ear plugs, but I liked how they looked as the cannon was fired.  We were told to cover our ears for the second cannon.  The fort is in a strategic location between Savannah, Ga., and Tybee Island, Ga. I thought the first one was very loud but the second one was quite a BOOM.
