P-P-Pick up a Penguin

Rachel & Scarlett travelled down to London from Cheshire today for one of our girly days, and we took Scarlett to London Zoo. The weather was great and as we got there quite early, it wasn't too busy.  

I've never been before and was very impressed with the zoo, but I think our favourite of the day was Penguin Beach.  There are so many areas where you can watch the penguins swimming and even an underwater bubble that children can step into so they feel that they're in the pool themselves.  I love watching them waddle, and it reminded me of the 1970's advert from when I was a child for Penguin Biscuits. (for some reason I can't get the link to work - if anyone can give me any tips I'd appreciate it).

I've had a lovely day with my girls, and am amazed at how Scarlett's speech has improved so much since I saw them in February -  her vocabulary is great and she can have proper conversations now.  She certainly knew all the animals' names!
