Gold and yellow

These autumn leaves are golden ( golden ash) and yellow ( golden robinia). Soon they will be all on the ground. Today I raked up the ones behind the garage and next weekend I will probably do it again. I keep most of the leaves for composting except the plane trees which are tough and take forever to decompose.
The Sydney family returned home today and we visited our son who lives locally. They had made a huge pot of pumpkin soup so we stayed for tea.
