I wish...

Makes a change from the ubiquitous Jubilee bunting.

This is part of the Chelsea Fringe.

'A wish tree is an individual tree used by a community to make wishes and offerings. Such trees are identified as having special religious or spiritual significance.
Darwin found trees in Argentina called Walleechu festooned with offerings.
The Chelsea Fringe wish trees symbolise the wishes hopes and dreams of the community.
Children from Rosendale Primary school and young visitors to the Saatchi Gallery were invited to design their own flowers and add a wish to the back. Students from Kensington & Chelsea College and the Grey Coat Hospital school designed flower labels for others to add wishes to. Among the 'wishers' were users of SMART, a rehabilitation project for people with mental health problems in Chelsea. These flowers will be 'in bloom' from 20th May until 10th June on Kings Road.'
