New life

Out of the office again today. Visiting and volunteering at Glasgow Wood Recycling.

A social enterprise that turns wood that would usually be chipped or sent to land fill into planters, raised beds, benches, chairs, bird tables and many more wonderful items. Not only will they (mostly likely) make fantastic garden essentials cheaper than the big garden centres, they do it with quality wood. And offer people who've had a bit of a hard time in life a chance to volunteer, get work experience or get a job along the way.

Ok, I'll stop with the work stuff. But if you live in the Glasgow area and want things made from wood, please use blipfoto's handy location function to check them out.

And in the afternoon, my Elfin friend organised an amazing lunch and quiz :-)

So, used a power drill, made a box, got well fed, lost a quiz and chatted afterhours over a cold beer. Good day all round.
