Back in the saddle...

After my lovely 3 month sabbatical i got back into the mudroom yesterday and started throwing mugs!   it felt really great to be back in my familiar studio....and i'm so glad i did all that cleaning before i left !!

It has been wonderful having 3 months to concentrate on other aspects of life....and i am so glad i gave myself some to time to have no pressures, no worries etc., and now i feel fully recharged and ready for the busy season ahead.   

Still mountains of snow outside, but the sun is shining, my little wood stove has the studio very comfortable and after lunch i'll head back in there to do some more mugs!   For as many years as i can remember, for some reason the first thing i always make are mugs!!!  what is that all about i wonder!  i guess they are the items i need the most of and they are pretty straight forward....very familiar form!

And you can just see the end of the new table Terry is building for the slab roller.....he's so amazing!
