C2C Day One

Up and at 'em at 5am to be at Par Beach near St Austell for 7am. We were checked in by 7.20 and this was taken in the queue to go through Checkpoint 1 at 7.30.

18.7 miles later we arrived at Nine Ashes campsite near Bodmin just before 4.30pm. Tired, aching and just a little bit fed up.

I was in bed by 7 and read until I fell asleep shortly after 9. The Scouts however, played Manhunt in the woods...
