First Bluebell

After spending the afternoon pottering around Mum's garden tidying up bits and pieces and moving some of the heavy pots, she allowed me to grab a drink and take the camera out.

Looking over the rockery, I noticed Mum had some Bluebells coming into bloom.  Bluebells are now protected in the wild, but these would have almost certainly migrated from my Nan's garden. Nana had a bit of a reputation for acquiring plants, and the bluebells probably came from the ancient woodlands near where she lived and walked in the mid 1900s. Mum has memories of taking walks through "the Bluebell Woods" with Nana as a child.  Looking at the maps today, there are a couple of woods around the area with a reputation for Bluebells, but all with alternative (probably correct) names.
