Vibrant Market in Stockbridge

The girls have headed off to the airport and I am staying at an Airbnb room in Stockbridge. This is not a part of Edinburgh I have seen before. The five of us have had a full on few days culminating in a treat from one of our group. She shops at Jo Malone (not known to me) and was sent a voucher for her birthday for a hand massage to share with five friends. Well, we were the chosen few. We could each choose a fragrance of hand wash, a hand cream for the hand massage and scented hand spray all accompanied with a glass of fizz and chocolates. Great fun and light hearted. I have to say it wasn't my sort of thing and the others had come via easy jet with cabin luggage only and wouldn't risk buying something that could be confiscated. However I could see they all looked interested in the product. As John would say: 'it's no good for when you have to go outside to put the chickens in'. No John but..... We don't have chickens anymore.

And now an evening to relax before heading home tomorrow. I wandered around the local market this afternoon after passing two groups of people canvassing. I recognised the conservative woman from recent interviews and TV debates and had a chat with a chap from the SNP. And the sun was shining after a heavy drizzle this morning.
