The Veerhaven

The Veerhaven - Ferry Harbour in Dutch - already exhisted in 17th century Rotterdam.

Surrounded by beautiful Art Deco and Art Nouveau buildings, such as the Atlantic House, this picturesque port already became the home of the Royal Dutch Yacht Club ( KNYC ) in 1852.

This floting house still facilitates showers, toilets and an office for the club member crews.

The Veerhaven was also the home of her Majesty Queen Beatrix's yacht "The Green Dragon" for many years.  

The Ferry Terminal at the entrance of the harbour is also a beautiful part of Rotterdam and a very nice place to quitely watch the passing boats from a bench.
