There are so many of these bleak Soviet era apartment blocks around Riga that they start to develop a certain charm in their delapidation. Not if you had to live there of course.

It's been a fantastic trip being with Mum and brother and relating family history to locations. Also learning about the complex histories of this little country, ping ponging between ever changing occupiers.
