Marriage Stone
After a second breakfast of coffee and croissant, curtessy of freespiral, we set of to survey Brahalish ringfort. A sizable ringfort in a stunning location with amazing views in all directions! We measured circumferences, diametres, height of banks and width and depth of the watery fosse. Risks were taken all in the name of getting good data!!
Lunch at the Heron gallery, then I headed out to walk a circuit of the Sheep's Head way, the weather was perfect and I didn't meet a soul. This is a marriage stone, couples traditionally clasped hands through the hole in wedding ceremonies. I liked this whitewashed farmhouse on a green lane so couldn't resist including in today's blip!
