Parthenon

As it turned out, our jet lag was a good thing because it meant we got to breakfast early and our table sited by the window gave us a glorious view of the Acropolis, still lit up from the all-night lighting. What a way to start the day!

Our tour was preceded by a brief visit to the Panathenaic Stadium past the Temple of Zeus, then on the short distance to the main attraction. Its hard to take in just how old these ruins are; absolutely amazing.
